CHUNG Ling 鍾玲 (Fellow)
Until March 2018, Chung Ling was Associate Vice-President, Dean of the Arts Faculty and Chair Professor in Comparative Literature at the Hong Kong Baptist University.
Prior to HKBU, she served as professor and Dean of the Liberal Arts College at the National Sun Yat –sen University, Taiwan. She also taught in the State University of New York at Albany and the University of Hong Kong. She holds M.A. and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Her specialized fields include Chinese-Western literary relations and writings by women authors. Her published books include:

She is also a translator, with two books in collaboration with Kenneth Rexroth, published by New Directions (New York), and a famous fiction writer and poet with 15 books of creative writing in Chinese published in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Beijing. Her books have won the Jury Award of Miniature Short Story, United Daily (Taiwan) (聯合報小說獎極短篇推薦獎), the National Literary and Art Award, Taiwan) (行政院國家文藝獎之文學理論獎) and the Chung Cheng Cultural Award (Taiwan) (中正文化獎).
She founded at HKBU the programs: International Writers Workshop and the Dream of the Red Chamber Award: The World’s Distinguished Novel in Chinese (紅樓夢獎:世界華文長篇小說獎).
